I sucked!

Well, bowling did not go as I had hoped. The last few weeks I have been having problems with my thumb being too small for the ball I have. Can't quite figure that one out being that I have had the ball since March. It is really pissing me off. So, my scores have been terrible. I managed a 168, a 154, and a 173 tonight. This is the worst I have bowled this year. I can come up with a few more excuses but I won't. My plan now is to have the ball resurfaced to get back it's original finish. Hopefully this will have an impact on the way the ball reacts to the lanes. There really is alot involved in bowling. Alot more than most would think. You have to pay attention to the oil conditions (ie... heavy, medium, or light oil) and also the pattern of the oil. Some nights finding the perfect line to throw on is a real bugger. I would have to say that this year has been a struggle also because of the fact that it has been unusually humid and warm this late in the season. We are a month and a half into the season and it hasn't really cooled down enough. Yep, that's right, even the temperature plays a part in bowling if you can believe that. Now, my whole thing with the thumb slipping out is still a mystery to me, so I broke down and bought some tape to put in the thumb hole and that helped fill the void I needed to at least not worry about dropping the ball and dunking it into the gutter continuously. It's a real embarrassing thing to throw gutter balls. Man, I really gotta quit thinking too much about what I'm doing out there. I thought that being all stuffy tonight would have helped, but it didn't. It actually made things worse. Simply because I felt very weak and that probably has been playing a big part in the whole dropping the ball too early and not having the control I am so used to having.

Enough about bowling. Here is a new topic. I have been trying to force myself to start working out and get a good workout plan intact. I believe that I could use some very good suggestions as to what kind of plan I should start with. G, any suggestions? I got the shoes to do it. You know, running/jogging. HELP MOTIVATE ME! I'll bet my alien dogs would appreciate a good workout too.

I'll leave you all with a picture of the "Alien Dogs" as a closing for tonight. More to come soon.

Too bad about bowling!!!! Hopefully next week is better.

I love the picture of the dogs. They do look like aliens. Some days I think they really are!

Oh and you can work out with me. I love going to the new gym! Just a suggestion.
